Hi, Nice Blog, Thanks for the info. Keep Blogging..
Hi!
I own N900 from 14/Dec/09 and I quite like it. What bothers me – bug in Contacts while editing Notes: when I try to input update the keyed chars are not seen, and they appear when pressing arrow key.
This is my major complaint, also it is not clear how to control appearing of “lock” icon feature, also when somebody finishes call through bluetooth, the bluetooth connection is closed off.
Peter.

Dear Khaled!
Thanks for answer – and it is good feeling to know that there is
true objective opinion on N900. But as experienced embedded programmer (of ARM) I also see the Nokia side: I think it is very hard job be now in N900/Maemo Team. And not a wonder that they have now difficult times – all the tools were created to work with Symbian, and together with this N900 is quite workable.
From the beginning I am looking for the answer on the following question:
What is the GPS hardware of N900?
Does it has ability of SirfIII chip to get the direct signal from American satellites and A-GPS hardware to get cellular signals from
cellular antennas and cellular network server data from local cellurar provider? And it is only the matter of good software to give
the user the abbility to use this GPS hardware without bugs?
Thanks,
Peter.
Hello! Great review! I’m buying the N900 in three days, but I’m not sure about one thing – the GPS. It is like the GPS of the iPhone? I have an iPhone, but I use it without my SIM card and the GPS works perfectly without using Wi-Fi or 3G networks… So does the Nokia do that?
I am afraid I am not a programmer as the person above me and that’s the reason I am asking this in a primitive language. Thanks!
