It became one of the hottest news among most the blogs and Websites on the internet and was spreading like fire when Google Announced their new Operating System, Google Chrome OS, Today. In Just Two days there was a  Great hype about Google Chrome OS, Which almost forced all the blog authors to post about it on their blog.

I have been hearing Stuff about Google OS for a quite long time now, And i all thought was this is another Rumor which is circulating around the internet through blogs and other means. But Earlier today Google Decided to make their OS Official today, Just before Microsoft was Planning to announce Something big. What is that Something, God knows best.

The official blog post about Google OS says,

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010…

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security Updates. It should just work.

Well If you carefully the what google have written on their blogs, It quiet obvious to understand that it is a Direct threat, to Microsoft and Apple. Moreover, Even Linux is getting prepared to Face the threat. Here is what Another Blog says about Chrome OS :-

Google has always been known for using cutting-edge web-technologies in their web apps, and that same will be seen in the OS which will let you on the web in just seconds!

Google Will mainly Target their Operating System towards netbook users. Moreover, it will also contain Google Docs, Gmail and Many other Offline and Online Apps.

I know there are many questions going around your mind such as Will it be able to Run Windows and Mac Apps ? How much will this OS cost ? What hardware will it support ? Well, Even we are waiting for Google to answer these question, But we know the answer to the best question, How much will it Cost? Google said that this Project It will be Completely FREE!!

Well For know thats all. Meanwhile, We will be waiting for google to Release Google Chrome OS.
