iPhone 3GS Jaibreak Released

I know many of you were waiting for. And Finally, A jailbreak for iPhone 3GS has been released, But this time its Geo-Hot instead of the the Dev-Team. Let me Warn you first, All this is beta stuff, And Many people including me haven’t tested it yet. Here are some pictures of jailbroken iPhone 3GS and a Small comment From Geo Hot.

Normally I don’t make tools for the general public, and rather wait for the dev team to do it. But guys, whats up with waiting until 3.1? That isn’t how the game is played. We release, Apple fixes, we find new holes. It isn’t worth waiting because you might have the “last” hole in the iPhone. What last hole…this isn’t golf. I’ll find a new one next week.

Well, If you Still decide to risk your new iPhone 3GS, continue reading below.

Alright, Lets do it :) First of all just go to purplera1n.com and Download purplera1n.exe. This thing works on all Windows, EXCLUDING windows 7. Make sure, You have the Latest iTunes installed, and an iPhone with 3.0 firmware. Next, Connect Your iPhone normally and then click on “make it ra1n” and wait for sometime. On Bootup, run Freeze, the purplera1n installer app. After doing this, the steps are quiet obvious and you’ll figure out what do to next. But let me remind you once again, This Tool is beta, and Therefore make sure that you have everything backed up before trying to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS. And yeah one more thing, If cydia doesnt show up after running freeze, Reboot.
