Unlock firmware 3.0 on Iphone 2G
Finally, the IPhone dev team was able to breakthrough the IPhone firmware 3.0. The pwnage tool to jailbreak and unlock the IPhone touch and IPhone 2G has now been released.
Unluckily for IPhone 3G users, they still have to wait until ultrasnow is pushed to the cydia repo.
The pwnage tool can also be used to jailbreak the 1st generation ipod touch device.
Here’s an easy way to Unlock the IPhone 2G
1.Download the PwnageTool 3.0 (direct link)
2.Download bl39.bin and bl46.bin
3.Get the firmware 3.0 for Iphone 2
4.Start the pwnage tool and follow the instructions
5.When custom firmware is made, enter DFU mode and restore the firmware
Unfortunately for windows user, the pwnage tool does not work in windows so make use of the following unlocked and custom firmware 3.0 files for Iphone 3G
1.Download all the three files
2.Combine the files using HJsplit (windows ) and Split&Concact (MAC)
3.The file name will be iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Custom_Restore.ipsw
4.Boot into DFU mode and restore the custom/unlocked firmware.
